Business Sales
Selling your IFA, Wealth Management or Financial Planning Practice
More than a broker – a law firm on your side
For most advisers, selling the firm you’ve built is a once-in-a-career decision, and the clients who trusted you with their financial future deserve that same care in how you step away. As solicitors working almost entirely in the regulated sector, we understand precisely what’s at stake for you, your clients and your team, and we give the sale the weight it deserves.
We’ve guided regulated firms through sales for more than twenty years, and no two exits are the same. Our difference is the combination: legal, tax and commercial expertise under one roof, a team that acts for you and only you, and a close working knowledge of the buyers genuinely active in your market. That’s how we match your firm to the right future, not simply the highest bid.

Guiding you from valuation to handshake
Most brokers pass you from one team to another as a sale progresses, and many are paid by the buyer. We work the opposite way. The same people stay with you from the first valuation to the final signature, and we act for one side only – yours. There’s no conflict between what suits you and what suits a buyer, and because our legal, tax and commercial expertise sits under one roof, every decision about your clients, your team and your own future is made with the full picture in front of you.
How we’re appointed is your choice. Most clients engage us to act solely for them throughout the sale. We can help you find the right long-term home for your firm as part of a planned succession.
How we sell your business
Get sale-ready
Every sale starts with our Triage assessment – a free, no-obligation review of your firm covering the things that actually move a deal: regulatory position, tax, compliance and valuation. From there, we make sure you understand how a sale works and help you set clear objectives for yourself, your clients and your team. Getting everything in order at the outset is what makes the rest of the journey run smoothly.
Assemble your team
A good sale rarely rests on one adviser, so we help you work out who else you’ll need alongside you. Because our team is legal, accounting and commercial under one roof, most of that support sits in-house – but where a specialist accountant or additional expertise adds value, we’ll tell you plainly and help you bring them in.
Position your firm for sale
With your objectives clear, we identify what genuinely sets your firm apart and use that to position it for sale. This is one of the most important stages: we draw on our market knowledge to build a strategy that delivers on your goals, including sale materials you sign off, detailed research into buyers who fit your profile, and the planning and execution of those first meetings – all handled by us, acting only for you.
Secure the right deal
Once we’ve shortlisted the right buyers, we manage the offer process from start to finish. Our guidance goes well beyond headline price – deal structure, timing, warranties and every term that shapes what you actually take away. Acting solely for you, our job here is to manage both your expectations and the buyer’s tactics, and to hold the deal on your terms.
Complete the sale
When you accept an offer, we guide you through every remaining stage: due diligence, the purchase agreement and legal process, completion, and the obligations that follow it. We don’t outsource any of it – the people who started your sale are the people who finish it.
